Some, any (part II)

Now we know when 'some' and 'any' are used. But... we need to practice what happens when we change the sense of a sentence. In other words: what happens if I change a positive sentence into a negative one? I need to change the verb and ... anything else?

In this lesson we'll see that there are other changes.

And this is the TEST.

Some and any

We use some and any to:
  • Talk about uncountable nouns: some water, some salt...
  • Talk about countable nouns, without saying the exact number: some bananas, some games...
Some is used:
  • In affirmative questions.
Any is used:
  • In negative sentences and questions.

You can practice what you know here:

Some and any.
Some, any, a and an.

And now... the TEST.
